This selection is especially valued by collectors for its deep red foliage and the distinctive marbled patterns that appear on the leaves. The name “Wagyu” refers to the intricate marbling pattern that resembles the texture of Wagyu beef.
The leaves develop an intense ruby-red to burgundy colour with contrasting lighter patterns in shades of cream, pink, or light green. Under strong light conditions the red colour becomes deeper, making the contrasts even more striking. Because of its spectacular foliage pattern and tropical appearance, this banana plant is a true collector’s plant and a striking focal point in tropical gardens and conservatories.
