About the Crinum asiaticum - M

Crinum asiaticum

Crinum asiaticum is a tropical bulbous plant belonging to the Amaryllidaceae family and is known for its large foliage and striking flowers. The species occurs naturally in coastal and tropical regions of Asia, Australia and parts of the Pacific and is commonly planted as an ornamental plant in warm gardens and landscapes.
The plant forms a large bulb from which long broad leaves grow in a decorative rosette. During the flowering period tall flower stalks appear carrying large star shaped flowers that give the plant an exotic appearance. Because of its robust growth and impressive flowers, Crinum asiaticum is widely used in tropical landscaping.
