About the Arenga obtusifolia - M
Arenga obtusifoliaArenga obtusifolia is a large and impressive palm species native to the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Java. In its natural habitat, this palm grows in tropical rainforests at mid elevations, where it develops into a dominant presence. Due to its powerful growth and massive foliage, this species is especially suitable for spacious tropical gardens, parks and landscape plantings.
This palm grows in clusters, producing multiple stems from the base. Unlike some other Arenga species, the individual stems do not die after flowering. The combination of rapid growth, robust trunks and enormous leaves makes Arenga obtusifolia a striking focal point that requires ample space to fully express its natural form.
