About the Adonidia merillii
Adonidia merrilliiAdonidia merrillii, commonly known as the Christmas palm or Manila palm, is a popular ornamental plant native to the Philippines. This elegant palm is loved for its compact size and decorative value, making it ideal for gardens, patios, and indoor spaces. The Manila palm can grow up to about 5 to 7 meters tall and features a slender, smooth trunk crowned with lush, green leaves.
One of the most striking features of this palm is its beautiful inflorescence. In late autumn or early winter, the plant produces white flowers followed by bright red fruits that resemble Christmas ornaments, hence its nickname, the "Christmas palm."
